Tips for a hiking holiday in South Germany
The Hunsrück is a region where you can go on a hiking holiday during spring, during summer and during autumn. So if you want to be assured of some peace, come to South Germany for a hiking holiday during the early or late season. Furthermore, did you know that Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park has the largest population of wild cats in Europe? So keep an eye out during your hike in the Hunsrück, perhaps you will spot one! At an hour's drive from our holiday park, you can go hiking across the Geierlay, the longest suspension bridge in Germany. This bridge connects the village of Mörsdorf to Sosberg. Follow the Geierlay Schleife here, a circular hike that also allows you to see part of the magnificent area. Tip: visit the suspension bridge in December, when it is lit up like a fairy tale for the holidays!

Several of the 27 stages are easily reachable from Holiday Park Hambachtal during a hiking holiday in South Germany. You will walk close to nature along this trail, as over 70% of the trails leads through the forest, across grass fields, or along creeks.
